Time To Replace Your Toothbrush

Image of used old and new toothbrushes isolated on a white backgWe all know the importance of brushing every day to keep our teeth healthy, and since we use this simple device every single day, it is also important to make sure we are using a toothbrush that is clean and in good shape. Because of that, the American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every three to four months, or as soon as the bristles become frayed from brushing.

Normal Wear And Tear
After about three months the bristles on your toothbrush are not as effective at cleaning your teeth. While you may think your toothbrush is working just fine but after a few months, it quits being effective at removing plaque from your teeth and gums. It also is not able to get into all of the nooks and crannies of your mouth and clean your teeth and gums as well as a new toothbrush.
